Wonder why so few post a message. I KNOW why I don't - I am in every few days for supplies and am able to bore volunteers in person with my tales of degu derring-do, bunny frolix and dog adventures. Everybody is doing a great job, SO BUSY with cage-cleaning. It has been fun to see all the furry boarders on their hols. Nice to have met young Audrey Bea, not so furry but very cuddly. Hope Cleonie is recovering from illness, great to hear that Ros(alind) is returning from Ireland to do her vet nurse training here. Glad to see Isa(o?)bel back and hats off to Ali(a?stair for sterling service. Cheers! K

Hey guys, I'm doing a little craft project (more on this at a later date if I can get it off the ground!) and I need some help frommy fellow bunny lovers. What I need is measurements from your bunnies so I can work for different size rabbits than my own! The measurements I need (in inches please) are: Chest size (around the chest behind the front legs) Neck size (around the neck where a collar would sit) Back length (from the back of the neck down to roughly the back hips) And then if you could tell me whether you consider your rabbit to be small, medium, large or giant that would be really helpful too! Thanks in advance guys. Abigail

I just wanted to say thankyou so much for my guinea pig who I adopted in March. Little Strathy has settled in well with my old pig Dougal and they seem very happy together, often lying side by side in their little snuggle house. I really appreciate the match making that you did for me and the useful advice which Im sure is part of the reason why Dougal and Strathy are so happy now. xxx Lizy

Hi - I hope you get a lot more support and adoptions after you were featured on the vets school STV programme yesterday (15th March ). I have driven past your " shop" several times but wasn't aware of all the good work that goes on behind that innocucus shop front ( which I had erroneously thought was just another per shop ! ), the wonderful work you do, and your great web site. I hope to adopt a couple of rabbits one day ( do they get on with cats ?! )but in the meantime am going to make a donation. Well done done to all you volunteers

Just a quick message to wish well to Frodo and to Eliot - get better, boys. Hello, too, to Cleone and to Rachel. I have put a post onto Degutopia newsgroup asking for a degu adoptive carer for Mercedes and Posh. My four are doing well, ditto for bunnies and dog. Thanks to all the volunteers, who do a great job. I hope Ros is getting on OK in Ireland - the bunnies and squeakies miss her.

We wanted to let you know that the two beautiful girl bunnies we adopted at the weekend are settling in brilliantly! We have named them Lana & Lois and they seem really happy with us! Best of luck finding caring homes for all your lovely wee animals. Thank goodness there are people like you out there to help them >:x

Hi there! Just wanted to let you know that the lovely wee hamster we adopted from you yesterday seems to be settling into her new home nicely. We've named her Smudge and we'll send some pictures soon! By way of thanks I've just made a small donation via PayPal so hope that helps... Thanks again! Clare

Good questions! We are having a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday 18th December, and we will be selling a range of pet-themed Christmas cards with the proceeds going to help the shelter, as well as Paws Here calendars with pictures of our rescue pets on them! Over Christmas the shelter will be open as usual up until the 23rd. We will be closed on the 24th, 25th and 26th December, although there will be someone coming in to take care of the animals every day. We are open between Christmas and New Year, but closed on the 31st December and 1st January. Hope that answers your questions!
